Cosmetic Dentist & Implant Dentist in Etobicoke, Toronto
My restorative procedures consist of fillings using various types of materials bonded to the teeth, crowns (caps) or veneers. Replacements of missing teeth are with fixed bridges or using implant-supported crowns or with removable appliances (partial dentures). Complete dentures are also provided if necessary. Root canal treatment and surgical procedures are performed on a selective basis. Bleaching or whitening of teeth for a cosmetic enhancement is done either as an office procedure or a home treatment or a combination of both procedures.
The oral hygiene needs of our patients are looked after by our hygienists.
Any dental treatment not performed in the office is taken care of for our patients by promptly arranging a convenient referral.
The interpretation of bonding may be somewhat misguided. The term bonding refers to the procedure how we attach the dental materials to the teeth. People sometimes perceive it as a method of the cosmetic treatment. It may be interpreted that way and in this context it means that the dentist is creating the cosmetic changes directly in the patient's mouth rather than doing it using the indirect approach taking the impressions and fabricating the restorations in the lab. The direct approach of cre...

At our clinic Dr. Jezdinsky practises restorative dentistry with a very conservative attitude. If you wish to have an extreme smile makeover we can do it for you but it is not for everyone. Dr. Jezdinsky will show you the difference between the bare essentials and the ultimate treatment. Only you will make the decision between the "needs" and the "wants".
The pictures above show you that dark ...

When teeth have been extremely structurally compromised by decay, fractures or old existing restorations, composite (tooth colored) fillings may not be indicated. In these circumstances, Dr. Jezdinsky recommends the use of laboratory processed, advanced porcelain restorations (crowns, bridges, veneers). Similar to white fillings, they are bonded to the surface of the teeth. They are extremely natural in appearance and, due to their strength and surface characteristics are ideally suited for larg...

Veneers - Toronto and Etobicoke
Veneers are very thin shells preferably made of porcelain or in some instances of an alternative material. Unlike dental crowns they do not wrap around the entire teeth but cover only the visible outside portion of the tooth.Consequently they do not provide any significant protection to the teeth and are done mainly for the cosmetic effect. For this reason they are not very often done for individual teeth but rather in multiples in order to change mainly the col...

Teeth Cleaning
My long-term predictable restorative efforts depend on the good health of the gums of my patients. Consequently the frequency of recalls of my patients in the hygiene department varies based on their needs. The average is probably 6 months but patients with compromised health of their gums may require a scaling and polishing {cleaning} appointment every 4 or even 3 months. Stretching the interval to 9 or 12 months is generally not advisable. The short-term cost s...

Teeth Whitening
We provide the teeth whitening service for our patients in our office in Toronto bordering on Etobicoke and we use both, the in office procedure as well as the home method. In my rather long experience the office treatment without the follow up home method will not provide any better result than the home method alone therefore the in office procedure is not the preferred choice and we use it only for patients who totally object to doing their part of the home method.
