Bonding
The interpretation of bonding may be somewhat misguided. The term bonding refers to the procedure how we attach the dental materials to the teeth. People sometimes perceive it as a method of the cosmetic treatment. It may be interpreted that way and in this context it means that the dentist is creating the cosmetic changes directly in the patient's mouth rather than doing it using the indirect approach taking the impressions and fabricating the restorations in the lab. The direct approach of creating the changes in the patient's mouth is quite time consuming in the dentist's chair and therefore does not offer any financial advantage to the patient.
